Graduated in 2016 with about $38,000 in student loans. For a few years, I only made minimum payments (entry-level job), and during the pause from 2020-2022, I didn’t pay anything. Then in mid-2022, my wife and I got major career boosts, and our income doubled from 2022 to 2024. That helped us pay off $25,000 in just one year! We wanted to go faster, but we had to pause for six months when our dog needed emergency surgery.Just sent in a $2,250 payment, and now I only have $5,908 left. March 31st will be my last payment… It doesn’t feel real!
$2,000 payments are wild! I hope I can do that when I graduate.

Yeah! My wife and I are lucky to be in a spot where we can throw $2,000-$3,000 at it each month until it’s gone. You’ll get there too!
