Anyone else having issues with Mohela payment history and SAVE plans?

I thought I’d be able to see all my payments from before COVID, including the $0 payments during the forbearance. Does anyone know if there’s a way to get this info besides Account History?

Also, Mohela switched me from the SAVE plan to a standard plan, and now I have a payment due in two weeks. I’ve tried reapplying for SAVE or another income-based plan, but my applications are still processing. I called them, but the hotline was closed. The automated message said to ignore payment notices, but I’m not sure if that applies to me since I didn’t ask to switch plans. I’ll try calling again tomorrow, but I’ve heard the wait times are super long.

Feeling lost here. Is anyone else dealing with something like this? Any advice would really help.

Was Mohela your servicer before COVID? My loans were with MyFedLoan but got transferred to Mohela a while back. Mohela doesn’t have any of my old payment history from before they took over.

If you check the StudentAid.gov site, they have a record of your payments. It’s not super easy to find, but you can download your loan history there. That’s what I did to sort through my info.

Also, income-based plans usually require you to reapply every year. Could you have missed the deadline? Definitely reapply as soon as you can.

Are you sure you’re logged into the right Mohela site? It should be Mohela.studentaid.gov, not the old one.

You’re not imagining the missing payment history. When Mohela updated their website, a lot of info disappeared. The old site had detailed payment counts and other useful stuff, but now it’s really basic.

If you need more details, try StudentAid.gov. They still keep a record of payments and other data that Mohela doesn’t show anymore. It’s such a hassle. I made sure to screenshot everything before the switch because these servicers always mess things up when they transfer accounts.
