My mum had a parent PLUS loan with them, which we paid off during forbearance. We called them in mid-October to have $10,000 reimbursed. They claimed it would take up to two months. The website no longer exists as of December, and studentloans.gov states that all loans have been transferred and that you should log in to see who your new servicer is. She logged in, but there is no servicer listed, and there are no loans. Is it feasible to seek a refund for payments made during forbearance at this point?
Who should we even contact?

Has anyone had any luck getting a new servicer after FedLoan, especially with no balance? It’s been a while, and I’m still stuck in limbo, hoping someone has had better luck.

Many paid-off loans are currently being transferred to a company called Aidvantage. I used to have FedLoan as my loan servicer and requested a refund in August. Unfortunately, it seems we’ll need to restart the refund process with the new servicer. I recommend calling studentaid.gov to explain your situation. They can provide details on which servicer is handling your student loans and guide you on contacting them once the transfer is complete. Good luck.

I’m in the same situation; still haven’t received any email from the servicer that FedLoan said I’d be assigned to. Keep me posted if you get any updates.

Same situation here. I’ve created accounts with every possible company they might have visited, but each one says my information doesn’t match their system.
