Hello, I’m a first-time student loan borrower from Heartland ECSSI, and I’m really puzzled. My Heartland account is needed to connect an account, however since I haven’t utilized Heartland, I don’t have one. I clicked on the loan account option as well, but once more, it asks for a Heartland account number and pin, which I don’t have because I’ve never used Heartland. Please advise me, as I need this loan to be approved.
my advise,is,at times, the Heartland ECSI website might undergo maintenance. You can visit student loan forums such as Reddit to check if others are experiencing a similar issue.
A couple of years ago, I found myself stuck in the same loop. Eventually, I called Heartland customer service, and they were able to use my name and information to locate the ‘account number and PIN’ that the system assumed I already knew. Once I had that, I went back to the website and set up my login info. I never received any mail about the number and PIN, so I have no idea what they expected me to do if I hadn’t called.
Additionally, be aware that there are multiple Heartland ECSI websites you can log in through. This might be a problem specific to my computer, or maybe it’s just me, but I’ve only ever been able to log in through one particular route—the other gives me an error message to this day. If you encounter the same issue, know that you’re not alone, haha. I bookmarked the route that works for me, so it’s no longer a problem. Good luck!
