I got loans through Discover, but now I can't access my account

Hi guys,

I know it might not have been the wisest decision, but last year I faced unexpected school expenses and took out a loan through Discover, where I also hold a credit card. It’s one of those loans where payment isn’t required until graduation, so I haven’t been closely monitoring it.

Lately, I’ve been receiving emails from Discover notifying me of messages on my loan account. The issue is, I’m unable to log into my account. Initially, I thought it might be a temporary glitch, but it’s been persistent. When attempting to reset my password, the system indicates it doesn’t recognize my social security number or birthday.

Despite these issues, the emails continue to arrive. I need to access my account to contact customer service, but that’s currently impossible. What should I do? Ignore the problem and move on doesn’t seem wise. Has anyone else experienced this situation?

It sounds frustrating not being able to access your Discover loan account. Since resetting your password isn’t resolving the issue, I recommend contacting Discover’s customer service directly. They should be able to assist you in resolving the login issue and addressing any messages regarding your loan account.

You don’t need to log in to contact customer service about your account. Simply call Discover Student Loans customer service and speak directly to a representative about your issue accessing your account online.
