[REQ] $1500 (Phoenix, AZ) … Need Help Until 11/25/24 … Repay in Full via Cash App, Apple Pay, or PayPal

Hey all, I’m in a tough spot. Lost my main job back in June. I did manage to find a new one, but I haven’t been paid yet. My next paycheck is coming on 11/29, but I really need to cover my rent and bills before then. I’ve tried a few things like applying for loans and even giving plasma, but nothing’s worked. I’m looking for someone kind enough to help me out and I will definitely pay you back by 11/25/24. I’ll also tip you for your help. Thank you so much :heart:

I’m a scammer just because I didn’t fall for your scam? Okay, sure buddy :joy:

:warning: Protect Yourself from Scams: Stay Safe Online :warning:

Hey everyone, please only use official services and trusted sources. If you’re asked to send money upfront or invest in anything, it could be a scam! Just a heads-up, we’ve been seeing a lot of new accounts with no karma trying to offer loans. Most likely, they’re trying to scam you.

Be cautious when engaging with accounts offering loans that have no history or reputation. Real lenders usually have a good track record, and they won’t ask for money in advance. Be careful and always verify things through official websites.

Keep your transactions safe, and trust your instincts. If something feels off, it probably is! Stay safe out there!

Tip? Is that what you meant? :joy:

Yeah, I definitely worded that wrong. There will be a tip, thanks for pointing that out! :joy: I’ll fix my post to make it clearer!

This is more of a borrowing post, not a tip. You should be saying you’re looking to borrow X and repay Y by Z date. You can’t just tip for this kind of request. A real lender might lend $100 with interest, but $1500 is a big ask!

@Eli
I don’t know you, and you don’t know me, but it seems like you were being pretty harsh right from the start? Did I miss something? Is this person a known scammer? I feel bad now, because he seems like he’s really struggling. I agree though, no one’s going to lend that much money without interest, but I still don’t get why you came down so hard on him?

@Oaklan
I’m not being hard on anyone, but asking for $1500 from strangers on this forum and offering a tip is unrealistic and a bit ridiculous.

Oh man, I owe you an apology. I was just skimming through and didn’t realize the person asking for the loan was the same one asking for help with a tent and stuff. I can’t believe it. You were right, and I didn’t know! I’ve got a lot to learn, and I’m sorry for jumping to conclusions. I’ll admit when I’m wrong. Really sorry!

@Oaklan
No worries, all good!

@Oaklan
Hey, this was my first time asking for financial help here. I’ve actually lent money through peer-to-peer loans before, but I’m just in a bad spot right now. Thanks for being kind though! :slight_smile:

Well, not exactly. I’m just going through a tough time, and asking for help wasn’t easy. I’m not a scammer (I’m actually a woman), and I get why you might have doubts. I guess I could’ve worded it differently, but I feel like you were a bit too harsh.

@Keelan
I get it, and I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings. Everyone says they’re not scammers here, but it’s hard to trust sometimes, especially when people don’t follow through. I’ve lent money in the past on r/borrow, and even though the platform vets users a bit, the payback rate is only around 60%. I didn’t mean to sound too harsh, I just want you to be aware that people might take advantage of you here.

@Eli
Totally understood, and I really appreciate your kindness! I’ve lent on Solo before too, and yeah, it’s the same situation with lending. I usually give, but right now, I’m just struggling. Thanks again :heart:
