Should education be free?

Hi guys,

I’m from France, where universities are free, including engineering schools and some private business schools. I was able to earn two master’s degrees; one in computer science and another in finance; plus a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, all with almost no debt by the time I was 24. Tuition was around $400 a year.

For a French person, this is normal, but when I hear about Americans still paying off their student loans at age 50, it blows my mind. Do you think this kind of educational system should be the standard everywhere?

If they want us to earn more so that we can pay their salary with our taxes, yes It is the only logical step. If everyone has general education, trade school or higher education, everyone wins however…comma… they also profit from incarcerating us and leasing us as labor. They also profit from keeping us in education debt. There are a lot of facets to explore. In my opinion, yes. We are uneducated and will be better with further education, whether that be academic or trades certifications
