I recently received my degree from UC Los Angeles after transferring from UC San Diego in 2020. I received an email in May from UCSD stating that I needed to pay back my student loans to advance with my departure interview with Heartland ECSI. Before we truly knew what was going on, my mum gave the company my Social Security number when I had my parent follow up with them. My sole provider when I log into my FSA account is Mohela. When I called my financial aid offices at UCLA and UCSD, they both stated that Mohela was the only one who handled my loans. I owe Heartland ECSI $1900 for my debts, they told me when I contacted them. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
The majority of Perkins federal loans, the majority of HRSA federal loans (such as Primary Care and Health and Nursing loans), and private loans are serviced by Heartland ESCI, a respectable albeit unpopular loan servicer. This request is probably valid if youβre speaking with the actual Heartland ESCI and not a con artist posing as them.
According to Heartland, what kind are yours?
Hi guys so far, numerous educational institutions manage their student loan accounts with Heartland ECSI, a reputable business. They are authorized to service specific categories of federal student loans by the U.S. Department of Education. They provide services such as loan billing, payment processing, tax document distribution like 1098-T forms for educational tax credits, and customer support for students and borrowers.
